Recovery / Restore Instructions

This process will erase all data on the Toughbook’s drive. ⚠️

1. Download your recovery image

Use the link provided after purchase.

2. Burn the ISO to DVD

Use your preferred burning software (Windows Disc Image Burner works).Use appropriately sized discs as specified on your model’s page & further instruction on purchase.

3. Set your Toughbook to boot from the DVD drive​​

  • Power on and press F2 at the Panasonic logo (sometimes Del or Esc).

  • If asked, enter the Supervisor Password.

  • Press F9, confirm Yes (reset to defaults).

  • Under Main, set DVD Drive Power → On.

  • Under Boot, move Optical Drive to the top with F6.

  • Press F10, select Yes to save and exit.

4. Run the recovery​

  • Insert your recovery DVD(s) and reboot.

  • Press 1 to start recovery.

  • Agree to the license (press 1 again).

  • Choose your installation settings.

  • Confirm with Y to begin reinstall.

  • When prompted, remove the final disc and press any key to shut down.

  • Power on. Windows setup will complete automatically.
     

Done. The Toughbook will boot into its original Windows version with Panasonic drivers pre-installed.
