Things you need to know before buying recovery or restore media.
1) What is the FULL MK or Mark model # of your unit ?
Turn on your Toughbook, when you see the PANASONIC LOGO hit the "F2" key to see your BIOS screen or check for a label on the bottom of your Toughbook (sometimes this label can be unreadable due to wear or missing). Write down the full model # to order the RESTORE RECOVERY CD DVD discs. It will be like this... CF-19FJL32AM
Panasonic puts out several sub-models of each main model. So the first generation is considered MK1 or Mark 1. The next generation MK2 and so on. As you see below CF-18 models have 5 different MK sub-models for example. The outside cosmetics are identical or very close but the differences are on the internal hardware.
2) For CF-18 / CF-19 owners only. Do you have TABLET DIGITIZER or TOUCHSCREEN?
Touchscreen model means you can use your fingertip, but with a tablet digitizer you must have a special stylus pen. If you are not sure contact us with your full model # and we will tell you which recovery media you need.
TECH TIP ! Also If you want to see the original factory specs of your unit, you can enter the full model # on the PANASONIC TOUGHBOOK CONFIGURATOR website. CLICK ME This is also a handy tool if you are considering buying a Toughbook, since some sellers may not be sure of the specs and you can confirm them this way.
